A man wants to harm Hasan; he accuses him of stealing a necklace. Akbar knows Hasan, and knows he could not be the thief, but the man insists Hasan is guilty, "Let him take the red-hot iron test if he speaks truth!" Hasan asks one-day delay; he consults Birbal. The next day Hasan comes back and says, "Let that man bring the red-hot iron to me, proving his truth and I will prove mine." The man says he will go look for the necklace again in his house.
