Akbar stumbles on a rock in the garden; infuriated, he orders the execution of the gardener. As a last wish, the gardener wants audience with A. Then, he spits at Akbar's feet. Birbal explains this shows his loyalty: since there was no good reason for his execution, gardener has now supplied one, lest Akbar be dishonored for executing an innocent man. Akbar then spares the gardener.
