A relative comes to see Nasruddin; he brings a duck. Nasruddin cooks it and they eat. Another man arrives the next day, a friend of the man with the duck. Nasruddin feeds him. Again and again. Friend of the friend etc. arrives. Nasruddin serves the soup. The man complains it has no taste. Nasruddin explains it is the soup of the soup, etc.
Notes: In some versions, it's a rabbit instead of a duck.
