Woman leaves bag with the local kazi before making haj. She returns in three years. He gives her the bag, seal intact, but she finds only stones inside. Birbal thinks the bag was torn and darned. Akbar tears bedsheet, and a servant has it darned. Akbar asks by whom? Darner comes, and he says that he also darned a bag of stones for the kazi. Summoned, the kazi confesses when he sees the darner. Akbar dismisses him from his post, and the old woman gets her money back.
