T0119. Counting Ripples on the Yamuna

An official is accused of taking bribes. Birbal says any job is liable to bribery; another courtier disagrees. To test who's right, they set a man to count ripples on the Yamuna. Akbar appoints the official to find out the number of ripples. To test him, they come by in boat. He accuses them of disturbing the count, threatens them with prison, unless they pay a bribe. Point proven!
