Nasruddin's neighbors keep trying to get him to kill his beloved lamb so they can have a feast. All their efforts fail. Finally, they convince him world is ending the next day. They have a feast, and then lie down to sleep. Nasruddin burns all their clothes on a bonfire. "What need of clothes if the world is ending?" he asks.
