Akbar asks if his grandson is most beautiful; courtiers say yes. Birbal says there is no way to test beauty, so Akbar calls for contest. People bring children; all have some kind of flaw. Birbal does not bring child; asks for a few days more to find perfect child. Finally, Birbal has found perfect child, but mother fears evil eye, so Akbar must go there. They go to remote hut; they see ugly child. But mother loves this child and rebukes them for saying he is ugly. So Birbal showed Akbar that every child is beautiful in eyes of parents, or grandparents.
