Nasruddin is courting two women. They ask him who he loves more. He demands a hypothetical. Small pretty one asks, "If we were drowning, which one would you save?" Nasruddin says to the big wealthy one, "Can you swim?"
Notes: Usually told of Nasruddin's wives, although Idries Shah has this version which is about women Nasruddin is courting.
