Nasruddin shouts from the top of minaret and then goes running away. What are you doing? He says: I want to determine how far the sound of my voice carries.

Nasruddin made the call for prayer from atop the minaret. Moments later he came running out of the mosque as fast as he could.
“Where are you going?” someone asked him.
“I want to see how far my voice carries!” Nasruddin replied.
