T0026. Nasruddin Hides from Thieves in Cupboard

Nasruddin hides from burglars in cupboard. They open it and find him. He says he is hiding in shame because there is nothing worth stealing in his house.

During the night, Nasruddin heard robbers ransacking his house, so he hid in the cupboard. One of the robbers opened the cupboard door and found him there.
“What are you doing in there?” he asked.
“I’m hiding here in shame,” said Nasruddin, “because there’s nothing worth stealing here in my house.”
