A man breaks Nasruddin's walking stick. Nasruddin curses him: in 40 days, he will break his leg. The man is terrified. A few days later he trips over a stone, falls, and breaks leg. He complains to Nasruddin that it had not been 40 days yet. "That's someone else's curse," Nasruddin warns him. "Mine is still coming."
