One beggar prays to God for money; the other prays to the king for food. Akbar thinks that is sensible, and he orders Birbal to send a heaping food platter, and he hides money under the food. Next day, this beggar also begs God for money. He ate half of the platter, and gave rest to the other beggar, who then found the money. "God works through people," says Birbal.
