T0367. Donkeys in the Ganges

Akbar wants to become a Hindu, but Birbal advises against it. Akbar is going to get baptized in the Ganges, and there they find two peasants scrubbing donkeys. Why? "A wise man said we could turn them into horses." Akbar says that is foolish. The peasant retorts that the king wants to become Hindu by dip in the Ganges, so surely donkeys can become horses.
