T0323. Nasruddin at the Donkey Auction

Nasruddin takes his donkey to auction, but he is persuaded by the auctioneer's words and ends up buying his own donkey for more than it is worth.

Notes: In the version in Clark's Nasreddin Hodja, the wife makes him go sell the donkey. He sells it very cheap, and then the man who bought it puts it up for sale, singing the donkey's praises, so Nasruddin buys it at that higher price. "I saw how valuable the donkey really was, and it's good thing I bought it back again. Otherwise, I would have lost a lot of money!"
