Nasruddin and friend are going to divide a glass of milk. The friend tells Nasruddin to go first because he wants to sweeten his half. Nasruddin tells him to sweeten it all, but the friend says there's not enough sugar. Nasruddin then agrees to drink his half first, but he is going to salt it.
Notes: Other versions are about dividing yogurt; some versions have vinegar versus sugar, etc.
