Akbar asks, "Who is greater: Indra or I?" Courtier says Indra is greater, and Akbar gets angry. "You are greater!" says Birbal. "Prove it," Akbar says. Birbal then says, "Brahma had this problem: he put image of each in scales. Akbar weighed heavier and so down he came; Akbar rules earth, while Indra rules heaven."
